I always manage to hit one of this guys tracks on my zune when I’m on shuffle so I thought I would post about him. This guy has a lot of hype behind him because he’s the cousin on one of the best female rappers ever, MC Lyte and he reps New York. He is also one of the best young MC’s for awhile and he has a growing fanbase. Although one weird thing is his obsession with Sonic the Hedgehog. This is pretty evident in the video posted after the jump.

I was on the Social’s (a local joint) website today and I came across this man named Mike Relm, dressed in the same manner you see above, and holding a record. I was curious, so I decided to look him up since he’s coming into town…and holy shit I’m amazed. Mike Relm scratches with the company of video, which makes his records so much more interesting to watch than regular DJs. He’s toured with the Blue Man Group, and he was apart of Tony Hawk’s Boom Boom Huck Jam Tour. Peep his MySpace and the incredible video after the jump.

TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe recorded a pretty little cover of Neil Young’s “Unknown Legend.” The cover’s for the movie he’s starring in, Rachel Getting Married, which is out now in select theators. The track’s only available on the movie’s soundtrack, but I’d pay for this cover alone.

Here’s the original Neil Young song, in case you don’t know it.

It’s nice to see Eric Wareheim, of Tim and Eric fame, directing music videos now. He’s slowly starting to become one of my favorite music video directors, especially after seeing that very disturbing (DEFINITELY NSFW) Flying Lotus music video. His newest vid is for MGMT’s song, “The Youth,” off of their Oracular Spectacular album. Thankfully, it’s not as disturbing as FlyLo’s video, and I must say it’s pretty damn cute.
